What We Do

🐾 Rescue & Foster Care

At New Hope Cat Rescue, our commitment begins the moment a cat is in need. We currently operate through a trusted network of foster homes, where cats receive individualized care, socialization, and a safe place to recover before adoption. This foster-based model has allowed us to provide a home environment, not a holding space, for every cat we rescue — giving us deep insight into their personalities and needs.

As we grow, we're excited to expand our impact through the development of a dedicated rescue facility. This space will allow us to house more cats, provide on-site care, and serve as a central hub for adoptions, volunteer training, and community outreach. Whether in a living room or a purpose-built shelter, our mission remains the same: to give every cat the chance to heal, grow, and find the home they deserve.

Adoption Placement

Finding the right home for every cat is at the heart of what we do. At New Hope Cat Rescue, adoption is never rushed or transactional — it’s a thoughtful process rooted in compatibility, commitment, and care. Each cat in our program is given time to develop in a stable environment so we can understand their behavior, preferences, and needs. This allows us to make informed recommendations and meaningful matches with potential adopters.

Every applicant completes a thorough screening process, including personal references and a conversation about lifestyle and expectations. Our goal isn’t just to find any home — it’s to find the right home, where each cat can thrive for life. And we stay connected long after the adoption day, offering guidance and support to ensure a smooth transition for both cat and human.

Volunteer & Foster Network

New Hope Cat Rescue thrives because of the compassionate people behind it. Our volunteers and foster families are the heart of our organization — generously opening their homes, schedules, and hearts to care for cats in transition. From short-term fostering and transport help to fundraising, cleaning, event planning, and social media, there are countless ways to get involved.

Fostering is one of the most impactful roles, giving cats a safe and loving environment to decompress and grow while they await adoption. Volunteers make our mission possible every single day, and we work hard to match each person’s skills and availability with meaningful opportunities. Whether you're a seasoned cat lover or new to animal rescue, there's a place for you here. Together, we create the safety net that makes every rescue possible.

Community Education

We believe that lasting change begins with knowledge. At New Hope Cat Rescue, we’re committed not only to saving cats, but to educating the community about responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, and the value of adopting over buying.

Through local events, social media outreach, and one-on-one conversations with adopters, we aim to dispel myths, share practical care tips, and encourage humane treatment of animals. We also advocate for trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs to manage community cat populations ethically and effectively.

Whether it’s teaching families how to introduce a new cat into the home or equipping neighbors with the tools to help feral colonies, our goal is to build a more informed, compassionate community—one conversation at a time.

Fundraising & Support

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, New Hope Cat Rescue depends entirely on the generosity of individuals, local businesses, and community partners. Every dollar donated directly supports our cats — covering medical care, food, supplies, and the development of our upcoming rescue facility.

We host fundraisers, coordinate supply drives, and maintain Amazon and Chewy wish lists to keep our shelves stocked and our mission moving forward. Whether it’s a one-time donation, a monthly gift, or an in-kind contribution, every act of support helps us say “yes” to the next cat in need. We are continually inspired by the kindness of our community, and with your help, we can give more cats the care, dignity, and second chances they deserve.
